ABOUT THE WINEMAKER

Justin Kahler, known as “JK” to most, grew up spending summers visiting his Grandparent’s ranch in Santa Margarita on California’s Central Coast.  Although it was his experience while working at the famed Erna’s Elderberry House that sparked his interest in wine.  Post-graduation with a degree in Enology and Chemistry from California State University, Fresno and a couple internships under his belt at Peter Michael Winery in Sonoma and Church Road in New Zealand, returning to the Central Coast felt natural.  JK has spent the last 18 years crafting wines and working vineyards in Paso Robles and the Central Coast for the likes of Calcareous Winery, Michaud Vineyard, Treasury Wine Estates, SVP Winery, Aron Hill Vineyards and Cedar Lake Cellars.   It is these experiences in the winery and vineyard that guides his focus on producing wines that showcase the natural elements of the vineyard and grape varietals.   In his spare time, JK enjoys traveling, soccer and watching his boys Luke and Noah grow up on the Central Coast.
