Carl had a vision when he purchased the picturesque Schreckengast Farm in 2002. He saw a classic venue for private events including special celebrations and business meetings. He later crafted a wine tasting bar and restaurant and, from there, the rest is history. Cedar Lake Cellars is a true reflection of Carl’s entrepreneurialism and love of nature.

Charlie’s goal at Cedar Lake Cellars is to provide every guest with an exceptional food and beverage experience. He has over 15 years of fine-dining management in the St. Louis area and is also a Member of the Court of Master Sommeliers. He aims to continue the development of Cedar Lake Cellars as a food, wine, and service destination in this fast-growing community. Charlie notes that, “Cedar Lake Cellars has an exceptional commitment to quality, which I intend on utilizing as our ever-moving goal-line.” In Charlie’s free time, he’s an avid sports fanatic and billiards player who enjoys nothing more than time with his family.
